The Granite House is excited to introduce 5 new quartz designs for 2023 to complement our existing best-sellers.

Carrara inspiration

Marble quarried since ancient times from the Carrara region in Italy, provides the design inspiration for Arabescato, Calacatta, Statuario and Venatino Quartz.  The individual characteristics of these natural stones has been skilfully translated into quartz, for use within interior projects.  All combine the beauty of natural stone with the practical performance required for modern lifestyles.

Arabescato:  A soft white background with dark grey veins.  Irregular, circular details throughout the elongated veins provide additional interest.

Calacatta Gold:  A combination of narrow and broad veins in shades of light and dark grey, are spread across the soft white background.  Gold streaks add to the authenticity of this design.

Calacatta Glow:  Delicate streaks in dark grey & gold criss-cross over broader pale grey veins.  The background is a soft white.

Calacatta:  For lovers of minimalism, this design offers Calacatta styling in its purest form.  Broad veins and narrow streaks in shades of light and dark grey enhance the soft white background.

Calacatta Misterio:  The lightest distribution of irregular grey streaked veining, over a brighter white background.  The distribution of linear veins make a modern interpretation of classic marble.

Statuario White:  The feathery style of light and dense grey veins on a white background, creates a random pattern distribution.  An excellent choice for a classic Carrara look.

Noble Venatino:   Features a higher concentration of veining distributed across the whole slab, in shades varying from light to dark grey.  A lightness of touch has resulted in a refined design that is not over-powering.

Matt & modern

Moving away from the Carrara region, volcanic rock from the central region of Lazio, has been used in construction since Roman times.

Cemento Dark:  Introduced in response to the trend for matt, grey surfaces.  Imitating volcanic stone, with a smooth matt surface, the subtle pattern prevents this quartz looking ‘too manufactured’.

Natural warmth

Anyone looking for a softer, creamier colour palette, should consider the limestone marbles from the Alicante area in Spain.  Crema Marfil characteristics are subtle veins in shades of white, tan and cinnamon.

Carina White: A warm off-white background, with the lightest distribution of random veins across the whole slab in beige-grey.  The overall look co-ordinates particularly well, when there are other natural materials within the interior scheme.
