Halloween – Tricks & Treats

In terms of Halloween themed colours that evoke the warmth of autumn and onset of winter, the Planet Range by Quartz Forms is a good starting point, especially Mars, Pluto, Jupiter & Halley.

Speak to a Specialist

Don’t expect us to come and knock at your front door dressed in a spooky Halloween costume.  Our idea of Trick or Treat is nowhere near as scary!  But we do have plenty of ideas that fit the description of tricks and treats.

In terms of Halloween-themed colours that evoke the warmth of autumn and onset of winter, the Planet Range by Quartz Forms is a good starting point, especially Mars, Pluto, Jupiter & Halley.

Tricks

Whether you venture out at Halloween with a lantern or torch to illuminate your path, one thing is for certain, good lighting can make all the difference in a kitchen.  According to John Cullen Lighting – the 3 main types are task, ambient and source lighting.  Here at The Granite House, we are often asked to include grooves for lighting strips.  These can be on the underside of the quartz or granite worktops or in the top of the upstands.

There is also increased demand for back-lit displays. Stones like Dover White Marble or Cappucino Onyx, with their translucent quality, allow the light to shine through.

Treats

As stone specialists we can include features like mitred joints and waterfall ends. This will give the illusion of the granite or quartz being thicker than it really is. A luxurious treat for the eyes.

Pop up sockets and wireless chargers can also be hidden in your stone worktops. With some clever cutting you can have functionality and design.

Dark & Dramatic

If you get your thrills from dramatic granites like Fusion Wow or dark ceramics like Dekton Laurent then we can help.  We have a huge range of Quartz and Porcelain/Ceramic samples in our showroom from brands like Silestone, CaesarStone, Ceralsio and Cimstone. Or if you prefer granite or marble, we can organise a visit to our importers,  Pisani, Stoneworld of London and The Marble and Granite Centre.
